We are a family of 7 living on a beautiful plot of land in the beautiful, quiet town of Candia, New Hampshire. We have 5 children here, 12 goats, 48 chickens, 2 Angora rabbits, 2 breeding meat rabbits, 4 sheep, 3 pigs, 3 alpacas, and 3 barn cats. We have a dream of being self sufficient someday, and our little farm here is our way of getting closer to those dreams! We homeschool our children, which is perfect for life on a farm. What better way to learn and grow than with many animals to care for and with hard work to enjoy! Homeschooling continues to be such a blessing to all of us as we live life together each day.
We love being together as a family and we love being caretakers of God’s creation. We view our animals and our little plot of earth with wonder and respect, and we hope to expand our farm each year. We delight in our animal chores….all of us, even the youngest children help out around the farm. Gathering eggs from our many chickens, feeding, watering, milking, brushing…..all of these chores help us to take a break from the busy modern life, and to care for God’s unique and wonderful creatures.
